Three-Day Beauty Cleanse Naturally

Doing a beauty cleanse has enormous health benefits, and it doesn’t have to involve radical changes or deprivation or to feel like a punishment! Remember, beauty starts on the inside, so doing a thorough cleansing will help reboot all of your body’s systems and can get you back on track, promoting clean eating and healthy habits. You will feel so good after doing this cleanse and will enjoy all the incredible benefits: better sleep, boundless energy, improved digestion, banished bloating, weight loss, glowing skin, and even healthier hair!

This three-day cleanse is designed to aid your body’s natural ability to cleanse itself by promoting proper elimination through the colon, kidneys, and skin; stimulating the liver to remove toxins; giving your organs a break by your eating less; improving blood circulation; and nourishing with delicious, nutrient-dense, whole, organic, essential beauty foods.

These foods fight everything from sagging skin to breakouts to wrinkles to puffy eyes to brain fog to fatigue. They also are alkaline, anti-inflammatory, and loaded with powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals—as you’ve already learned, the perfect building blocks for radiant beauty. The best way to achieve results with this three-day cleanse is to do it! I want it to be fun and delicious; therefore different options are offered throughout each day to change things up, so you don’t get bored or feel deprived, as well as to cater to individual preferences.

Tips for a Successful Beauty Cleanse

1. Eliminate The Following Foods From Your Diet:

Processed foods, packaged foods, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, MSG, soy, trans fats, gluten, alcohol, unhealthy oils, caffeine (if you feel you can, I advise this), dairy, meat, poultry, and ideally GMO and conventionally grown food—I strongly recommend for this cleanse you eat all organic.

2. Mentally Prepare For Your Cleanse:

Remind yourself of why you are doing this cleanse and all the benefits you will experience from it. This will help you stay on track, especially during those times when you feel cranky or want to give in to temptation.

3. Have Everything You Need:

Stock your fridge with the foods you can enjoy and get rid of the foods you need to avoid.

4. Eat Mindfully:

Sit with no distractions (yes, that means put away your darn phone!) and enjoy your food, savoring each bite. Make sure to chew it properly—digestion begins in the mouth.

5. Drink Lots Of Spring Water:

Proper hydration will help flush out toxins from the body, keep you feeling full, and get you in the habit of drinking more water. Also, charge your water with powerful detoxifiers, like lemon.

6. Dry Brush For Optimal Results:

7. Move Your Body:

Exercise is an important part of any cleansing program. When you move your body, you stimulate your lungs through breathing, your blood and lymph circulates, your liver and lymph nodes start their cleanup processes, your digestion gets stimulated, you sweat out of your skin, your kidneys filter contaminants—basically exercise gets your body going so it can flush all undesired waste, toxins, and fats. Rebounding (jumping on a trampoline) is one of my absolute favorite ways to exercise, especially during a beauty cleanse or detox. It is low impact and excellent for stimulating the body’s sewer system, the lymphatic system.

8. Take Deep, Conscious Breaths:

Remember, oxygen is one of the most important nutrients for your body. It helps your body absorb vitamins, minerals, and nutrients more efficiently and can speed up the detoxification process. Deep breathing is also a great way to reduce and eliminate stress, which can affect your overall health and appearance. (Read “Breathing Meditation,” for a powerful deep breathing exercise.)

9. Relax:

Take this opportunity to relax by enjoying a bath with essential oils, Epsom salt, neem alcohol tincture, and/or charcoal to further remove toxins from your body. 10. Practice Gratitude:

Spend some time appreciating and honoring how extraordinary your body is and all the things you are able to do in life because of it.

11. Limit Electronics:

This includes phone, computer, and TV exposure.

12. Get Support:

Ask a friend to join you on your cleanse. Let people know you are doing a cleanse so they can help you remain accountable.

13. Don’t Stress!

Do the best you can on this cleanse and don’t worry. Take each day one step at a time. You are trying to instill healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

The Three-Day Beauty Cleanse

Choose one item from each of the following sections and enjoy them throughout the day. Make sure to drink plenty of plain spring water in between meals. Feel free to enjoy the Apple Cider Vinegar Beauty Upgrade thirty minutes before any meal at any time of day. For lunch and dinner, prepare one large batch of the recipe on day one, and you will have enough leftover portions to last the remainder of the cleanse.

Morning Tea

(Drink at least 12 ounces upon rising)

  • Warm lemon water
  • Ginger tea
  • Cinnamon tea

Breakfast

Mid-Morning Snack

Lunch

Mid-Afternoon Snack

  • Very Veggie Nutriblast
  • ½ cup fresh berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • Any amount steamed low-starch vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauli flower, green beans), drizzled with 1 to 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ cup crudité (carrots, celery, cucumber, cut into sticks), drizzled with apple cider vinegar if desired

Pre-Dinner Tonic

(Enjoy 30 minutes before any meal)

Conclusion

Read this after you complete your three-day cleanse:

Congratulations! You did it! You spent three days gifting your body with beautifying foods. Are you loving your renewed sense of energy, vitality, and optimism and your radiant skin? Try to keep going with as many of the healthy eating habits you engaged in during the beauty cleanse. You have momentum now; reverting back to unhealthy eating habits will undo your hard work and prevent you from experiencing long-lasting changes for the better.

Moving forward, keep eating as many alkaline, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich foods as possible. After your cleanse, keep trying new fruits and vegetables – eat as many different colored foods from the rainbow as possible! Plus, eat as many raw foods as possible.

Keep the momentum going: eat only high-quality complex carbohydrates (such as sweet potato or taro) and healthy fats, cook with coconut oil, limit dairy consumption, and have fun experimenting with nut milks. Limit your caffeine intake. Try to minimize your alcohol and meat intake. Eat more vegetables than meat. Continue to drink plenty of clean, fresh spring water. Always try to eat organic, and especially avoid the Dirty Dozen.

Keep up the clean-eating habits you created during the cleanse , and reduce your body’s toxic load while nourishing yourself from the inside out. You can avoid premature aging and enjoy flawless skin, a healthy and efficient metabolism, an improved mood, and high energy levels. Nourish your body—don’t just entertain your mouth!

Most important, have fun and remember that you are laying the foundation for extraordinary health, beauty, and youthfulness.
